He and nearly all his friends remain at work until 9 or 10 p.m. just to avoid spending time at home with their wives. Apparently, their spouses place unreasonable demands on them and constantly nag. Many wives tend to compare their own husbands to their friends’ partners or the “perfect” men they see online—comparisons that, of course, never favor the poor husbands, who even go as far as calling their wives “devils.”
