The Texas Department of Transportation (USA) carried out an unusual road cleanup operation.

The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that an 18-wheeler truck overturned on the highway after the driver lost control. The driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, and while their lives were not in danger, the cargo caused quite a stir.

The truck had been transporting 8 million newly minted dimes, which spilled onto the road. It doesn’t take much math to realize that $800,000 worth of coins ended up scattered across the highway.

The road was closed for several hours as crews from the Department of Transportation worked to clear the spilled change. Hopefully, none of the coins went missing.
