Australian candy brand Allen’s (owned by Nestle) is hiring a professional lollipop taster, with payment offered in confectionery.

Applicants must meet basic criteria: be over 18 and in good health, as those with allergies need not apply.

According to Allen’s spokesperson Joyce Tan, the company is preparing to launch new products based on classic favorites, requiring someone to evaluate their flavors.

Tan likened the taster’s role to characters from “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” as the chosen candidate will sample a variety of sweet treats.
